OPERATING
CAUTION: Follow these steps carefully and in sequence. Failure to do so may cause serious personal injury and will damage the air pistol.
The slide latch is located on the left side of the air pistol. Using your right thumb, release the catch by pushing down on the slide latch. The slide will snap back approximately 1/4' when released.
Refer to animation below.
Point the barrel of your air pistol upward and grab the rear of the slide with your left hand. Pull the slide back out as far as it will go until you hear a 'click.' The slide should now be 2 inches from its original position.
Firmly grab the barrel of the pistol with one hand (make sure to keep your fingers clear of the barrel hole to prevent any injuries) and push the slide in with your other hand until you hear a second 'click' and it locks in place. The slide should be back to its original position. The air pistol is now cocked and ready to load or fire.
SAFETY
After the airgun has been cocked, always put it 'on safe' by engaging the safety. To do this, push the safety in from the left side of the air pistol, thus locking the trigger.
Refer to animation below
LOADING
NOTE: Complete the previous steps before attempting to load ammunition. The barrel section WILL NOT tip up until the air pistol has been cocked. Do not try to pry it open, as this will cause permanent damage. NEVER fire your air pistol with the barrel section in the open position.
Refer to animation below
Point your air pistol downwards and load up to 18 BB's into the SQUARE loading port (NOTE: To quickly and easily load BB's into the air pistol one at a time, a speed loader is recommended). The BB's are held in the magazine and released one at a time and positioned automatically in the barrel during the cocking sequence; remember to tilt the barrel up when cocking the air pistol to allow the BB's to feed properly.
Airgun pellets are loaded one at a time. To load, place the pellet directly into the barrel (the lower ROUND opening). Push the pellet into the barrel until the skirt of the pellet is completely clear of the barrel seal. The short rounded end of the ammo seater will aid you in loading the pellets. Be sure to use only .177 caliber lead airgun pellets.
CAUTION: Remove all BB's before loading and shooting pellets, darts, or bolts. Never place pellets, darts, or bolts in the square BB loading port as this will cause damage to the air pistol.
Airgun bolts and darts are also loaded and shot one at a time. Push the bolt or the dart directly into the barrel (the lower ROUND opening) and be sure that the flight of the dart or bolt is completely free and clear of the barrel seal. The long, pointed end of the Marksman ammo seater will help you properly seat the darts or bolts. Use only .177 caliber airgun darts or bolts.
FIRING
You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes when firing any gun.
Always aim your air pistol in a SAFE DIRECTION.
Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit.
Always choose your target carefully. It is best to shoot at paper bullseye targets which are attached to a safe backstop. A heavy blanket should be hung behind the Target Trap to prevent ricochet should you miss the backstop.
Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use. Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs.
When you are sure that the area around you is safe, pull the trigger to fire.
MAINTENANCE
Fertigation and Chemigation like you’ve never had before!
Marksman will increase accuracy, reduce labor, and provide accurate records of every application. Marksman provides producers and retailers a line-up of features not common in most fertigation and chemigation systems.
Marksman Models
Marksman Hydra-Cell Pump
Flow Range: 15-180 GPH
Max Operating Pressure: 125 PSI
Power Options: 480VAC 3-Phase, 110VAC
Durable and robust industrial grade pump with years
of proven use in fertigation and chemigation
applications. Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) varies
motor speed to achieve desired application rate.
Marksman 12VDC Pump
Flow Range: 6-60 GPH
Max Operating Pressure: 50 PSI
Power Options: 480VAC 3-Phase, 110VAC, 12VDC
The economy solution for low pressure irrigation
systems. This system utilizes a 12VDC motor to drive
a diaphragm type pump. Works well in low pressure
irrigaton systems requiring low to medium application
rates.
Marksman No-Pump – Existing Injection Pump Control
Flow Range: Determined by Existing Pump
Max Operating Pressure: Lesser of 125 PSI or Maximum of Pump
Power Options: 480VAC
Add all the features of Marksman to your existing injection
metering pump–flow measurement and control, water
proportional control, shut down alarms and record keeping.
The Marksman for existing injection pumps provides VFD
controlled output of your current pump.
Marksman 550 Tank Skid with Hydra-Cell Pump
Flow Range: 15-180 GPH
Max Operating Pressure: 150 PSI
Power Options: 480VAC 3-Phase, 110VAC
550 gallon cone-bottom tank with variable speed propeller
agitation. Factory assembled with Marksman Hydra-Cell
system. Attach it to your trailer and it’s ready to go to the
field.
Features and Benefits
Flow Measurement
All Marksman models utilize an electromagnetic flow meter to measure flow rate of fertilizer or water/chemical mixture. Electromagnetic meters have no moving parts to lodge, stick or wear. They precisely measure any electrically conductive liquid.
Flow Control
Set the desired flow rate (GPH) for your application and Marksman will control the pump output to achieve the desired rate for the entire application. Changes in product viscosity due to temperature variation, changes in head height of tank, and other variables that change flow rate through traditional metering pumps, are a thing of the past. Marksman ensures you get the exact application you need.
Water Proportional Control
Marksman changes the chemical or fertilizer flow rate in response to changes in water flow such as corner swing-arm systems. Marksman ensures the correct rate is applied regardless of the swing arm position.
Shut Down Alarms
Off Rate Alarm – If tank runs dry or the strainer plugs up and Marksman cannot achieve the desired flow rate, Marksman will automatically shut down. Utilize Marksman pivot shut down relay kit to stop the pivot as well.
• Low and High Pressure Alarm – If injection pressure drops below the minimum pressure set point, Marksman will shut down. Eliminates hours of costly and harmful spills due to a broken hose.
• Water Pressure Low and High Pressure Alarm – With optional water pressure sensor, Marksman will shut down based on too low or too high of water pressure.
Batch Mode
Inject set number of gallons, then turn off.
Auto Run on Power Up
At power up, Marksman will automatically start pumping. Automatically resume injection after power shut down due to load control. Useful in drip irrigation to apply set batch size to each zone of system.
Record Keeping – Data Logging
Record Keeping – Data Logging
Marksman keeps a complete record of every application. Every 10 minutes it logs an entry which includes field number, date, time, flow rate set point, actual flowrate, pressure and batch total. You will know when, where and how much was applied.
Regulatory and Supply Chain Reporting
This provides the necessary information you need for regulatory reporting. It also provides a record that can be used throughout a supply chain that wants to know more details of exactly how your product was grown, especially on fruits, vegetables and specialty crops. The log file is an Excel file that is downloaded directly from the Marksman via USB drive or directly from the cloud when equipped with remote connectivity.
Remote Connectivity
Checking fertigation/chemigation is now as easy as checking Twitter or Facebook…simply look at your phone! Get text message notification instantly if the application encounters a problem.
